Good Afternoon Members,

This week, our pool successfully obtained Temporary Certificates of Occupancy from Mechanical, Building, Plumbing/Sanitary and Fire Marshal Inspections. These TCOs allowed us to move forward to a Health Inspection from the County this morning – our final inspection towards opening our pool.

We ultimately and unfortunately failed today’s final inspection and will not be able to open our pool for this weekend due to a lack of positive water flow to the drains in the poured concrete floors of our equipment room and a couple of bathrooms. This issue should be addressed next week for re-inspection.

While we still cannot predict with 100% assurance, after our conversation directly with the Health Inspector this morning, we think it is prudent to share our belief we will be open within a week’s time, if not possibly earlier. Once we pass the final inspection, we plan to email all members with the positive news and open the pool the next day.

A Board member has been on site for each inspection over the last couple of weeks to make sure membership is represented as the County code enforcers do their job. For what it may be worth to you, while the County’s process may be cumbersome, we want to share that we have found the County’s inspectors to be not only reasonable, but also actually quite accessible. We have had direct conversations with several both on site and over the phone.

We will send additional notices as soon as we receive more information. If you sent us notes of support, thank you for your messages and demonstrating your understanding as we near the finish line.
