Board Member Bios

Becca de la Portilla and her family have lived in Davidson since 2020. She grew up in Wilmington, NC.  Becca’s grandparents were part of the small group of townspeople that originally founded the Swimming Hole in the early 60s, and Becca grew up enjoying the Swimming Hole with her family when visiting.

Becca attended Davidson College, where she received a Bachelor of Arts degree.  After teaching high school math and working in education consulting at the start of her career, she then pursued her MBA from Duke University. Her professional experience is rooted in strategy & operations. Following business school, she was a consultant for Bain & Company and a Regional Vice President for Oak Street Health.  Becca is now a stay-at-home mom to her & her husband’s two young children.  

Her interests in Board membership stem from her family’s heritage and involvement in our pool, as well as her desire to become involved in something that serves our Town. 

Becca serves as Membership Committee Chair responsible for the ranking & filing of membership information via the organization’s databases, such as member profiles, membership waitlists, membership classifications, special payment terms that have been approved by the Board, resignations, etc. This role is key to upholding the integrity of how the Board consistently follows standard policies & procedures to treat all members as fairly and equally as possible. Annie Veit and her family have lived in Davidson since 2015. She grew up in Columbus, Ohio. Along with her fellow coaches, Annie was responsible for restarting the Swim Team this past pool season. She believes this and other activities serve as a key component to how membership in our pool leads to a stronger Davidson community.

Annie attended the Ohio State University where she swam for the Buckeyes and received both her undergraduate degree in English and Masters in Education. She has previously worked as a middle grades English/Language Arts teacher in Ohio and is now a stay-at-home mom to three young children. 

Her interests in Board membership stem from her family’s desire for our pool to serve as a hub for membership participation & involvement where relationships are formed and nurtured through planned activities. 

Annie serves as Activities Committee Chair responsible for introducing to and fielding ideas from membership, enhancing the organization’s level of member services & hospitality, increased participation, community and involvement. This role is also responsible for gate check processes and administering guest registration, as well as activities such as swim team, booking and facilitating parties, events, functions, etc. Contact Annie directly at activities@swimminghole.club

Trey Fouche and his family have lived in Davidson since 2017. He claims Columbia, SC as his hometown despite moving a bit as a child. 

Trey attended Wofford College where he received his Bachelor of Arts degree. He then received his Master of Education from Georgia College & State University. His professional experience is education based with a desired focus on the outdoors. He’s been a teacher at several of our local public & private schools, as well as a faculty member at North Greenville University. Trey currently works as a recreation consultant with NC State and serves on the Town of Cornelius Parks & Recreation Commission. 

Trey’s interests in Board service are rooted in seeing our pools’ service to the local Davidson community continue as it has for decades, yet also ensuring we approach operations in a common sense fashion as we make changes to address membership needs.

Trey has served as Membership Committee Chair in the past, but will now serve assisting the Board President with responsibilities tied to construction of the new facilities and physical infrastructure associated with the approved vote for the Reimagine Capital Project.

Mitchell Feld and his family have lived in Davidson since 2020. He grew up in the Buffalo, NY area. Mitch, his wife, and their son moved to Davidson after many years in Charlotte. They love going to the Swimming Hole and the Davidson Farmer’s Market on the weekends, enjoying the many town offerings, and taking part in how Davidson builds community among its residents.

Mitch attended Lafayette College where he received a degree in Economics & Business. He then received his law degree from the University of Miami. Mitch spent 8.5 years as a juvenile defense attorney at the Council for Children’s Rights. He currently works at Wells Fargo in recovery and resolution planning. 

Mitch’s interests in Board membership stem from his family’s interest in community involvement and fostering the continued success of the Swimming Hole. His wife, Whitney, is one of our swim team coaches. 

Mitch serves as Governance Committee Chair responsible for overseeing the directors in their functions and duties as it pertains to compliance with bylaws. He ensures directors act to follow high standards of accountability, transparency, fairness, and responsibility.

Glenn Prillaman and his family have lived in Davidson since 2016. He grew up in southwest Virginia and has lived in Texas and South Carolina. He & his family moved to Davidson from Greensboro, NC.

Glenn attended Roanoke College where he received a Bachelor of Business Administration. His professional experience is rooted in product/brand development, sales, strategic planning & executive leadership. His professional experience stretches from a field sales rep to chief executive officer of a publicly-traded company. Glenn currently owns & operates his own consulting firm helping startups go to market or legacy companies modernize operations so either can effectively scale for profitable growth and future capital structure options. 

His primary interests in Board membership stem from his appreciation for the role our pool plays in the uniqueness of our community through its nostalgic experience. He also believes membership can grow stronger through carefully managed changes that streamline operations and ensure financial stability, as well as heighten the level of hospitality we all experience as a service from our pool staff and its Board. 

Glenn serves as Board President where his roles and responsibilities in serving membership primarily focus on the perpetuation of the success of the corporation as it upholds its mission & beliefs. He also manages capital projects on behalf of membership. He currently also serves as Finance Committee Chair & Treasurer
